  • We strongly recommend in-person appointments for optimal results, however all of our health coaching services are virtually enabled for disabled and/or out of town patients. For years we have been consulting with people from around the world via video teleconference. All appointments will be scheduled in US Eastern Standard Time.

  • This depends on several factors, including the complexity of your case and specific goals, how long you’ve been dealing with any issues, and how much time, energy and attention you’re willing to devote to your wellness.

In general, it takes individuals around 2-3 months to complete each package, including any follow-up sessions if needed, but most people start seeing improvements within the first month of implementing their coaching.

Individuals may elect to continue with follow-up coaching after their initial program has been completed. Most patients opt-in to completing all of the core four packages, scheduling at their own pace, completing the set in 18-24 months on average.

  • To determine if you're a good candidate for health coaching, consider the following factors:

    1. Strong Motivation for Change: Health coaching is ideal if you’re motivated to make positive changes in areas like nutrition, fitness, stress and sleep management, or overall wellness. If you're ready to set and work towards specific health goals and you're looking for a health and human performance expert to point you in the right direction, you're a strong candidate.

    2. Struggling with Accountability: If you’ve tried to improve your health but have difficulty staying consistent or on track, a health coach can provide the structure and accountability you need.

    3. Looking for Personalized Guidance: If you want a tailored plan that fits your unique lifestyle, health history, and goals, health coaching offers a personalized approach unlike generic programs.

    4. Facing Chronic Health Challenges: If you're managing conditions like obesity, diabetes, hypertension, or digestive issues and need support making lifestyle changes, health coaching should be strongly considered to complement your medical care.

    5. Feeling Overwhelmed or Unsure Where to Start: If you’re unsure how to improve your health, need clarity on what steps to take, or feel overwhelmed by too much conflicting information, a health coach can guide you with clear, actionable steps.

    6. Seeking Sustainable Lifestyle Changes: If you’re tired of short-term fixes like fad diets or quick fitness programs and want to adopt lasting habits that promote long-term health, health coaching can help you build sustainable routines.

    7. Need for Emotional Support: If you feel alone in your health journey or struggle with emotional barriers to success (like stress, anxiety, or self-doubt), a health coach provides not only guidance but also emotional support and encouragement.

    8. Desire for a Holistic Approach: If you want to address your health from a holistic perspective—focusing not just on one area (like diet or exercise) but on your overall mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing—a health coach can integrate all aspects of your health.

    9. Frustration with Lack of Progress: If you’ve been trying to make improvements but aren’t seeing the results you want, health coaching can help you identify roadblocks and adjust your strategies to overcome them.

    10. Want to Improve Specific Health Metrics: If you’re looking to improve specific metrics like blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, or body composition (such as muscle gain or fat loss), a health coach can help you create a focused plan to achieve these measurable outcomes.

If these factors resonate with you, health coaching could be a great fit for your journey toward better health!

  • After submitting your new patient application, your patient care coordinator will reach out via phone and/or email within one business day and supply you with a welcome package including your new patient orientation and patient onboarding information.

  • We strongly recommend in-person appointments for optimal results, however all of our health coaching services are virtually enabled for disabled and/or out of town patients. For years we have been consulting with people from around the world via video teleconference. All appointments will be scheduled in US Eastern Standard Time.

  • As you begin your health coaching journey with us, we begin a relationship together that will potentially take course over the following months and/or years to come. As inherent in our health coaching model, we will want to understand the complexity of who you are, your personal story, the triggers and precipitating factors that have impacted your health, and where this has brought you to date. This discovery process is part of us getting to know you, your history and your needs, and helps us formulate a treatment plan that is specifically catered to you. There are many facets to this initial discovery process.

You will be asked to complete and submit the following patient questionnaires prior to scheduling your appointment. We may recommend laboratory diagnostics to be performed prior to your coaching appointment so we can personally-tailor your coaching experience based on your specific needs and goals.

To better help you understand what medical records are useful, we have outlined the following guidelines:

✓ Medical summary within the last 12 months from your Primary Care Provider

✓ Conventional lab results within the last 3-6 months

✓ Functional Medicine test results within the last 12 months

Items we ask that you DO NOT SEND:

✘ Notes from routine medical office visits

✘ Routine exam notes (this includes immunizations, routine physical exams, etc.)

✘ Lab results that are over a year old

✘ Diagnostic imaging films or disks

Please do not submit screenshots of your medical records. We require copies of your original medical documents.

While we recognize that everyone is unique in the journey that has brought you to us, so can this apply to the information that may be pertinent. Please remember, more is not always better. If you request multiple past medical records to be reviewed by our physician, an additional $125 fee will be applied.

  • Health coaching is a personalized, collaborative process that helps individuals achieve their health and wellness goals through guided support, education, and accountability. A health coach works one-on-one with clients to identify their unique needs, challenges, and aspirations related to their health, then creates tailored action plans that empower them to make sustainable lifestyle changes.

Key components of health coaching include:

    1. Goal Setting: Clients work with the coach to define clear, realistic health goals, whether related to nutrition, fitness, stress management, sleep, or chronic condition management.

    2. Personalized Guidance: Health coaches provide custom strategies that align with the client's lifestyle, preferences, and health conditions, making recommendations on nutrition, physical activity, and wellness habits.

    3. Behavior Change: Coaches use evidence-based techniques to encourage lasting behavior change, helping clients shift from unhealthy habits to healthier ones.

    4. Accountability: Regular check-ins and progress tracking keep clients accountable, ensuring they stay motivated and make steady progress toward their goals.

    5. Education and Empowerment: Coaches educate clients on health-related topics, giving them the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions, empowering them to take control of their health.

Health coaching can address a variety of areas, such as weight management, chronic disease prevention, stress reduction, fitness, and overall wellness. It’s a supportive partnership aimed at fostering lasting improvements in health and quality of life.
